Another Event (2025)

Swedish Girls hosted Another Event, their first independent event in Milan, presenting their installation Another Fountain alongside a series of invited interventions. The event took place at Via Farini Work, a non-profit art organization where the duo had just completed a four-month residency.

Another Fountain, first shown at the culture festival Scopes Stockholm 2023 and later at Alcova 2024, is a sculptural piece that references the form of a fountain without functioning as one. Constructed in stainless steel the work explores the visual language and associations of public fountains while remaining dry and non-functional.

For this occasion, Swedish Girls invited Magical Mystery Garden (Italy) to create a plant-based set design that surrounded and integrated with the fountain. Their intervention introduced a mix of plants throughout the space, adding an organic and temporary layer to the installation.

A live performance by dancer and choreographer Mona Namér (Sweden) activated the fountain through movement. Her choreography responded to the object’s scale and surfaces, exploring its spatial presence through a physical and intuitive dialogue.

The performance was accompanied by a site-specific sound piece by Flux by Uchiha (Italy) from Vena, a label and platform for sonic practices that explores new ways of cultural interaction. The composition responded to the environment and movement, creating an immersive soundscape that subtly shaped the atmosphere of the event.
